Disable Child Lock Instructions by Adjustable Base Model

If you don't know the model name of your base, use the images under each base name to identify your remote/base model. The instructions to disable child-lock will be listed beneath each adjustable base model. 

 

Current Adjustable Base Models 

 

TEMPUR-Ergo® ProSmart® Base

Step 1: Press and hold the dedicated Child Lock button and the Underbed Lighting button together for 3 seconds.

Step 2: The remote LED will flash once the remote is no longer in Child Lock. The remote and adjustable base will work normally. 

 

 

TEMPUR-Ergo® ProSmart® Air Base

Step 1: Press/hold the dedicated Child Lock button and the Underbed Lighting button together for 3 seconds.

Step 2: The remote LED will flash once to indicate that the remote is no longer in Child Lock. The remote and adjustable base will work normally now. 

 

TEMPUR-Ergo® Power Base

Step 1: Press/hold the dedicated Child Lock button and the Underbed Lighting button together for 3 seconds.

Step 2: The remote LED will flash once the remote is no longer in Child Lock. The remote and adjustable base will work normally. 

 

TEMPUR-Ergo® Smart Base

Step 1: Press and hold the dedicated Child Lock button and the Underbed Lighting button together for 3 seconds.

Step 2:  The remote LED will flash once to indicate that the remote is no longer in Child Lock mode. The remote and adjustable base will work normally now. 

 

Ease® Power Base

Step 1: Press and hold the HEAD DOWN and ZERO-G buttons together for approximately 3 seconds.

Step 2: Press and hold the HEAD UP and ZERO-G buttons together for approximately three (3) seconds or until the remote backlight flashes.

Step 3: When the backlight on the remote stops flashing, the remote is no longer in Child Lock. The remote and base will work normally. 

Note: You may need to repeat these instructions several times to unlock your base successfully. 

 

Prior Adjustable Base Models 

 

Ease® 3.0 Power Base

Step 1: Press and hold the HEAD DOWN and FOOT DOWN buttons together for approximately three (3) seconds.

Step 2: Then hold HEAD UP and FOOT UP for approximately three (3) seconds, or until the remote backlight flashes twice. 

Step 2: When the backlight goes away, the remote is no longer in Child Lock, and the remote & adjustable base will work normally.

Note: You may need to repeat these instructions several times to unlock your base successfully. 

 

Ease® 2.0 Power Base

Step 1: Press and hold the FOOT UP and FOOT DOWN buttons together for approximately six (6) seconds, or until the remote backlight flashes twice.

Step 2: When the backlight turns off, the remote is no longer in Child Lock, and the remote & adjustable base will work normally.  

Note: You may need to repeat these instructions several times to unlock your base successfully. 

 

Previous Generation Ergo Bases

Model: TEMPUR-Ergo Advanced

Step 1: Press and hold down the HEAD DOWN and the FOOT DOWN buttons together on your remote for approximately three (3) seconds. 

Step 2: Then hold the HEAD UP and FOOT UP buttons together for approximately three (3) seconds. 

Step 3: The remote backlight will flash twice, and your remote is no longer in child lock mode. The remote and the adjustable base will work normally. 

 

 

TEMPUR-Ergo® Extend Smart Base

 

 

Step 1: Press and hold together the HEAD DOWN and FOOT DOWN buttons for three (3) seconds.

Step 2: Hold the HEAD UP and FOOT UP buttons for three (3) seconds until the remote backlight flashes twice. The remote is now in Child Lock. Pressing any buttons while in Child Lock will yield no movement to your adjustable base.
