If the bases have not been synced during the install process, they will operate independently. If they were synced during the install, they will need to be unsynced. To un-sync the bases, remove the battery cover, then press and hold the Sync button on the left side of the base remote until the button light blinks, then release. The speaker will provide a verbal cue "disconnected."
