Tempur-Pedic's proprietary Tempur® foam does not contain formaldehyde or latex. Their formulas are trade secrets but use raw materials and processes similar to other polyurethane foams. Products meet fire safety standards without PBDEs and comply with all relevant regulations, including California Prop 65.
Our formula is not public knowledge. Tempur-Pedic product formulas are a trade secret; however, the raw materials and processes used in manufacturing Tempur-Pedic products are similar to those used in the production of a large variety of polyurethane foams used every day by millions of people in many different applications such as furniture, bedding, carpet underlay, packaging, and automotive seats. Tempur-Pedic products do not contain polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs), and our products meet fire safety requirements without using PBDEs. All Tempur-Pedic products are designed and manufactured to meet applicable Federal, State, and local regulations (including California Prop 65). Formaldehyde is not a raw ingredient in our proprietary Tempur® foam. Tempur-Pedic products do not contain latex.
