Adjustable Base Moving Preparation

Adjustable bases are heavy, motorized products with integrated electrical components. To ensure a safe and smooth moving experience, we recommend reviewing the information below.

Use Professional Movers

We strongly recommend using professional movers experienced with heavy, motorized furniture when relocating an adjustable base. These products are not designed to be moved by a single person, and improper handling can result in injury or damage.

Pre-Move Preparation

Before your movers arrive, you can complete the following basic preparation steps:

  • Disconnect power: Unplug the adjustable base from the wall outlet.
  • Remove all bedding and accessories: Take off the mattress, sheets, pillows, and any items stored on or under the base.
  • Secure the power cord: Coil the power cord neatly and secure it so it does not drag, snag, or hang loose during transport.
  • Be aware of the weight: Adjustable bases typically weigh approximately 150–250 lbs, depending on size and model. Sharing this information with your movers helps them plan appropriately.

Adjustable bases are not designed to be disassembled by owners. Do not attempt to remove legs, frames, motors, or internal electronic components.

Important Safety Warnings

Adjustable bases are heavy and can cause injury if lifted or handled improperly. The base contains electrical and mechanical components that may be damaged if dropped, compressed, or transported incorrectly. Improper handling may result in injury to movers or damage to your home or the product.

For safety reasons, do not attempt to move or transport the adjustable base on your own.

Warranty Considerations

Damage resulting from moving, transport, improper handling, or disassembly is not covered under warranty. You can view the Warranty Terms & Conditions for your adjustable base here
