What is the best support for my mattress?

Tempur-Pedic® mattresses need a solid, elevated surface to deliver your best sleep ever and to perform as designed. Be sure to use an approved support to protect your mattress and the warranty. Check below to see what is compatible with your mattress and what is not an approved support for your Tempur-Pedic®.

Approved Support

Power Bases

Foundations

Platform Beds

Power bases provide adequate support for your mattress while serving as the support and the bed frame all in one. Upgrade to the ultimate sleep experience with a power base!

Designed to remain solid and supportive, our foundations contain high-density fiberboard and steel rails to give your mattress the flat, sturdy base it needs.

Platform bed frames may be used if the slats measure to at least 3 inches in width and sit no more than 4 inches apart. Flat foundations can be used with a platform frame.

Power Base - Compatible

An adjustable power base allows you to personalize your experience with nearly unlimited head and foot positions and other features to enhance your sleep routine.

Platform Bed – Compatible

Slatted foundations and platform beds can support a Tempur-Pedic® mattress, as long as the slats are at least 3" thick and less than 4" apart. Approved platform beds do not include the use of plywood or untreated wood as those surfaces can lead to unwarrantable damage.

Box Spring – Incompatible

Box springs are not compatible with Tempur-Pedic® mattresses. Box springs are designed to “give” so a traditional mattress can support your weight. We do not recommend using a box spring as it does not provide the support a Tempur-Pedic® mattress needs. The use of a box spring will void your warranty.

The Floor – Incompatible

We do not suggest placing your mattress on the floor. Doing so may trap moisture underneath the mattress, cause damage, or invalidate your warranty.
